Personal Care that is Personal

Do you or a loved one need help in the home? Are you uncomfortable with home health aides you don’t know assisting you with bathing, dressing, meal preparation, or other activities of daily living?

You are not alone.  In Medicaid’s Consumer Directed Personal Assistant Program (CDPAP) you have the power to choose who cares for you.

Freedom to choose your own Personal Assistant!

  • As a Consumer in Medicaid’s CDPAP program, you will  recruit, hire, schedule, and train your own Personal Assistant, which may include a family member, friend, or someone you know and trust in your neighborhood.
  • Your Personal Assistant will assist you with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Most anyone, including your adult children, can serve as Personal Assistants and GET PAID to provide your home care in CDPAP (spouses are not eligible to be a personal assistant).

When a loved one requires assistance, consider Medicaid’s Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP)!
