What is PACT?

  • We teach our aides to notice and report minor changes in their patients condition before it becomes an emergency.
  • Our aides report any changes by calling a special phone line or using a secured smart phone application to notify our registered nurses
  • Our nurses respond immediately and take action, by calling the patient’s doctor, sharing helpful tips, and working with the health care team to help patients stay healthier at home.
  • We have data that shows how PACT prevents hospital stays and emergency room visits and increases customer satisfaction.

Keep in mind, when choosing your home care for you or your loved one

  • When you are seeking caregiving services, you want to choose a provider that is certified, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Our Certified Home Health Aides are required to continue their education and training throughout their time with our organization. They complete regular training modules in order to stay up to date with the latest research and treatments for conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Our employees are trained to understand how best to respond to any behavioral changes or symptoms.
  • Our aides are trained to view each patient as an individual, instead of viewing them as a diagnosis. We understand that illnesses affect people in very different ways. Our Certified Home Health Aides are trained to take personality and cultural orientation into consideration when providing care.
  • In order to ensure that our home care aides are adhering to our high standards, they are always monitored and supervised by certified registered nurses. There is constant communication between the members of our team to guarantee that your family is receiving the best possible service.

However, while you are taking control of these responsibilities, you are often struggling with emotional challenges. It can be extremely emotionally difficult to see someone you care about suffering. If you are a child seeking home care for a parent, it can also be difficult to seek home care because you feel as if you are taking independence away from your parent.

Dealing with the Emotional Aspects of Home Care

  • Before you ever commit to any of our services, we will meet with you and your family to discuss your needs. You can get to know your potential caregivers, and they can get to know you. Once you feel completely comfortable with our nurses and home care aides, we can begin developing a personalized care plan for you.
  • Our professionals have plenty of experience dealing with the circumstances that you are facing. They can provide advice, answer questions, and show you empathy in order to help you through the inevitable emotional rollercoaster that you are facing.
  • Allen Health Care Services aims to provide your entire family with comprehensive care and emotional support for every challenge that comes with transitioning to home care.

Assisted Independence

We teach our clients that home health care does not mean losing independence. It is simply a transition from natural independence to assisted independence. Our caregivers make it possible for the individual to continue to live safely and independently. If you, or your loved one, are having trouble with the change to assisted independence, you could greatly benefit from our public service presentation on the matter. We have presented this information at senior and religious centers throughout the area, and have received abundant positive feedback. To learn more about this presentation, please contact us at info@allenhealth.com or contact Donna Rasmussen at 718.657.2966.
